Hey all. This is something I did quite a while back. I was trying to make a sliding mount for my Nexus 7 into my dash. I COULD have made a reasonable sliding fixture similar to SoundMan's iPad sliders, but I couldn't slide the tablet long ways. I had to slide it straight down in the landscape orientation. I successfully fabricated a second set of pins into the tablet, which was no small feat. The worst part of the whole project was trying to extend wires from the micro USB connector. Data wires I found solder points for. Ground was easy. But USB power and OTG connection were a pain. But I got it working. Ultimately, I couldn't achieve the reliable connection that I was looking for on the pins using POGO pins. Either the pins couldn't carry the loads I wanted, or they just weren't suited for what I was trying to do. Either way, I abandoned the idea after all that work, and did a permanent install with no sliding function. I did take a video of the mods, but never uploaded it. I found the video not long ago and decided to share it anyway. Check it out if you want....it was a fun experiment! www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGqo1SWmk_gJustin
